Recovery
In elite sports fast and efficient recovery becomes more and more important due to an increasing training and competition load. Our research questions around this topic related to individal monitoring of fatigue and recovery as well as optimal recovery strategies. This research area is coordinated by Dr. Sabrina Skorski and Dr. Anne Hecksteden.

- Sleep or Training - Effects of training time end sleep education on sleep behaviour and recovery in elite youth swimmers (SleepTrain; fundedn by the German Sport Science Institute)
Completed Projects
- Multi centre Project REGman: including several studies to measure fatigue and recovery as well to evaluate different recovery strategies in elite sports (together with the Universities in Bochum and Mainz, funded by the German Sports Science Institute)
- Cold-water immersion in elite sports (funded vby the German Sports Science Institute)
- Evaluation of internal load parameters throughout a football season (funded by the FIFA Jaoa Havelange-Scholarship)
