Medical Services

The institute of Sports and Preventive Medicine offers a variety of services from several sports medicine. This mainly includes sports cardiology and sports orthopaedics. Furthermore, we supervise a preventive sports training group and a training group for cardiac patients. 

Eligibility screening for athletes                           

Informations for athletes
: The eligibility screening is a sports specific screening that is a necessity for all athletes at regional and national level at least once a year. The screening will last about 2 h and includes the following tests:

• Internal medical screening
• Orthopaedic screening
• Resting and exercise ECG (on a bike or a treadmill depending on the sport)
• Routine blood measurements
• Echocardiography (every 2 years)
