Study abroad
Students have the option for studying abroad via Erasmus+ collaborations. As the M.Sc. High-Performance Sport has a strong focus on internationalisation, studying abroad is highly recommended for all students. Similar, to the double degree, Erasmus+ exchanges are recommended in the 3rd semester. Current collaborations exist with the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU, England; internship agreement), the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Netherlands; study agreement) and the UCD Institute of Sport and Health (Irland; internship agreement). General information on Erasmus+ regulations and funding can be found here. Interested students apply via the degree coordinator (Dr. Sabrina Skorski: s.skorski@mx.uni-saarland.de). It is highly recommended that interested students contact the degree coordinator early in advance for counselling to assure that the courses/internships will complement the content of those offered and passed at UdS.
Besides the Erasmus opportunities Saarland University has several international partnerships within and outside of Europe. In general exchanges outside of Erasmus are organised for research projects, especially the master thesis. Thus, the exchange will be organised individually according to each students study plan. Interested students have to apply for such an exchange until the end of their second semester, with a letter of motivation as well as a research proposal.
