PhD Projects


The Institute of Sports and Preventive Medicine has broad expertise in the medical care of football teams, football-specific performance diagnosis as well as optimization of training and preventive aspects of football. Currently there are no projects available. Students willing to apply with self- or otherwise funded PhD projects are advised to submit a proposal within the research focus of the institute.



The PhD student´s work is jointly supervised by two experts within the specific area of the projec. For each PhD researcher, a supervision agreement as well as an “individual training and supervision plan” between her/him, the program coordinator and both supervisors will be issued.

The PhD student is advised to report the progress of his/her project regularly (once in 6 months) as described in the ITSP. Furthermore, regular presentations in scientific colloquia or scientific workshops are mandatory for all PhD students.
